The winter Jasmine (<i>Jasminum nudiflorum</i>) is a shrub which grows up to 3m tall. Its leaves are divided into three leaflets. The slide shows a cross section of one of these leaflets. The top side of the leaf has an upper epidermis, which is free of chloroplasts. The dark chloroplasts are clearly visible in the palisade layer and the spongy layer of the leaf.
